The Abacus critical illness plan provides financial protection for employees by paying a lump sum benefit for a critical illness diagnosed, or for a procedure undergone for the first time in their lifetime while covered under the plan, subject to exclusions and limitations described in the plan.
Categories

The Abacus Series critical illness plan will pay up to a 100% of the benefit amount payable per covered category with an overall total benefit payout up to 200% of benefit amount issued.
  1. Circulatory Conditions and Procedures
    Heart attack / stroke / heart transplant: 100%
    Coronary bypass surgery / angioplasty (with or without stents) 25%
  2. Cancer Conditions
    Invasive cancer 100%
    Cancer in situ 25%
  3. Other Conditions and Procedures
    Coma / end-stage renal failure / major burns (does not apply to dependent child(ren)) / major organ transplant (excluding heart transplant and excluding an autologous bone marrow transplant) / paralysis (excluding paralysis resulting from stroke) 100%
